This week in Music City

Lots going on this week again in Nashville and at the radio station!

Will be giving away tickets to Dave Matthews Band all week during the Lightning 100 request lunch. Thursday night we are going to find out what Nashville band will be representing Music City in the Hard Rock Ambassador of Rock battle of the bands. Kink Ador, Justin Kalk Orchestra, Maureen Murphy, and Old Union will put on a great show at the Hard Rock Cafe Nashville. 9pm All ages & Free Admission! Also on Thursday Starr Hill brewmaster Mark Thompson is back in town and we will hang with him and enjoy a few Starr Hills. 5:30pm at Beyond The Edge Then 8pm at Broadway Brewhouse Midtown. Friday is the first Miller Made Music Showcase of 2009 at Mercy Lounge. A free 21 & over show featuring four great local bands. Brenn, Umbrella Tree, Shoot The Mountain, and Philos will perform starting at 9pm. I will also have Brenn stop by the Lightning 100 studios Friday at 1pm to chat about themselves and the show. Local Lightning guru DJ Justin Hammell will host, which means I am going to DJ Friday night for him at the Flying Saucer. 10pm-1am Late night! Come by, say hello and make a request! I will not be getting much rest or sleep Friday night. I have to DJ Saturday morning at the Country Music Marathon finish line in the New Balance tent. Come say hello as well there but be warned...it is the Country Music Marathon and I will not necessarily be playing your favorite Lightning 100 tunes! Maybe some Alison Krauss or Nickelcreek...Then I am taking my wife to the DMB concert this Saturday night! Told you there was a lot going on! I would write more but I have to go host the Lightning 100 request lunch and the phones will be ringing like crazy since I have Dave tix...

PS Do not forget about the Bake Sale at the Smyrna Kroger on Sam Ridley next Sat May 2nd I'll have some tix to give there as well and we want to raise as much as we can for St. Jude!! I'll tell you more about that soon...

Added info about tailgating!

Tailgating is fine - parking lots open at 6:00 am. I believe alcohol is
a no-no. However, I can't get an answer from Vandy. I wonder if there
is info on their website regarding rules for football tailgating? I am
guessing the answer is no.
BUT that said, they will be serving beer inside the stadium!
:)

Do you know anything about tailgating? Will we be allowed to drink in the parking lots? Thanks!
